What Boudoir means to me...

When my husband first mentioned wanting boudoir photos I was terrified.  I am a photographer - I stay behind the camera.  And truthfully all I could imagine was badly lit pinup photographs, costumey and campy.  Totally not me.  If I was gonna do this it was going to capture me, not me dressed up like someone else. After doing some research we finally found a photographer who got it!

It was when I had my own boudoir session with the master, Christa Meola, and discovered that I love boudoir!

I felt amazing afterward my shoot!  Not only was it a fun, it was empowering and quite frankly a bit of a high.  I wanted to bottle that feeling and share it with every woman I knew...and those I didn't :)

I also learned that this was an art form and experience I wanted to bring to others.

I had to know more, so I decided to learn from the best.  Studying and learning from Christa was the most amazing experience and completely changed my idea of what boudoir could be.

I want every boudoir session I do leaving that woman with the same feelings I had after my own shoot. Feeling not just good, but amazing about herself! I want her be pampered and have fun. I believe that "sexy" is a confident, self assured, happy woman!  I also believe that most of us go through our lives never fully appreciating how vibrant, wonderful and sexy we truly are.  The people who love us realize it.  Its time we do too!

Loving your self enough to capture your own personal brand of "sexy"on film embodies boudoir for me.  That is truly what boudoir means to me.
